Impact
In the early 1900s many men and women worked for long hours and less pay in terrible working conditions. The labor movement of the 1920s began as people started working together to improve the conditions they work in and other things such as pay and hours. As listed before there were several strikes during this age. The labor unions were also created to keep employees together. The conditions changed from the turn of the century, the conditions were much better.
This is a picture working on the assembly line for Ford Motor Company. The area around them is much cleaner than it was prior to the movement. They also gained the right to be able to make the same pay as they were before, but for shorter work hours and safer machinery. This not only made the workers happy, but also made the owners happy because their workers wouldn't get sick.
